Sandra’s Bio
I became a caregiver in 1999 when my husband for 24 years was diagnosed with stage 3b cancer. During a lengthy hospital stay having observed the way he was being treated during thing such as bathes and toilet/diaper care, well, i realized they didn't really have time to take special care to the comfort, cleanliness and dignity of the patient. At that time i ask if i could take over the hygienic cares of my husband and when given consent i dove right in like i knew exactly what i was doing. A year later i lost my husband but i felt accomplished because i knew i had made his life easier and comfortable when it counted most to him. Now 18 years later i am still loving my life as a caregiver and still helping others when it means the most to them, and their families.
