I have always consider myself a caring compassion person. My younger sister was born when I was 12 and I didn't mind taking care of her At the age of 21 I had my first child I wasn't uncomfortable in her care. By the age of 30 I had a second child and was caring for a bed ridden elderly women who was blind and deaf. I took the experience I had plus my compassion and preformed the best job I could ever do. Her family was very grateful for the hard work and refer me to others and then I continue to care for another elderly lady in her home. The Visiting Nurses Of Southeastern Ma then had classes for a certification in Home Heath Aid and I jumped at the chance to continue my good work. I did finish my classes and then was ready to work for the Visiting Nurses Of Southeastern Ma. I did move onto another Home Health agency Gentiva/Olsten and met so many wonderful people and each one was different and they needed my help. I always told people that I loved my job and why not... caring for others and being there for them is very rewarding. I did move onto driving handicap van bring consumers to their daycare sites I bonded with each consumer and they learned to rely on me to get them home safely . I have parents who are elderly and my father no longer drives and I also do homemaking for my parents. My sister has been dealing with Oral Cancer and needed me to help her with her treatments I hold a certificate as a Home Health Aid and did have training in Hospice, CPR and first aid certification I have been a care giver for over 20 years I love being a care giver....
