I am a 53 young woman who has 8 years of experience dealing with elderly people. I worked as a companion for a woman who had Alzheimer's for 3 years in NY. I also took care of my mother who had dementia for several years until her death. I had a CPR and First Aid certification until I moved to MA 3 months ago. Because of the move and different state I did not renew it yet. However, I still retain the training and I was the first aid personnel for Santa's Village for 2 seasons. I also just finished 2 years with taking care of 3 small children.
After dealing with my mother I have empathy for your need to have someone with compassion and tenderness. It can be trying on the mind and physical aspects.
