I was a caregiver for my father and mother and aunt all in their 80's at their home at New Pond Village. I did shopping, ironing, driving to all doctors appointments, haircuts and family events. I bathed and helped dressed my mother. Pushed my mom in her wheelchair to dinner evenings to the dining facility. I loved taking care of them and also having the chance to learn firsthand about dementia. Both my father and aunt had been diagnosed at the same time. I lost by my parents last year 40 days apart. My aunt is now in memory care in Wrentham, MA.
