My name is Lisa. I am currently a personal care assistant to a teenager who has Cerebral Palsy. She is very intelligent but has some speech issues and limited mobility. I assist with transfers, meal preparation, bathing, toileting, dressing, prepare and make sure that her medications are taken daily and oversee home work time. I drive her to and from physical therapy twice a week. I also do basic house cleaning and run errands when needed. My house cleaning duties include but are not limited to - laundry, ironing, washing dishes, sweeping, vacuuming, cleaning the cat litter and general organization.
Unfortunately, the teen will be having major surgery again at the end of the school year, May, and she will need a certified nurse for her recovery.
