Hi,
My name is Rachel P. I have been working as a PCA since 2009, and throughout the years, I have worked with a variety of people. I have worked with people who where independent and only needed help either with errands or chores around the house (such as cooking, cleaning, laundry etc), to working with people who are completely dependent on their care taker and need help with pretty much everything (personal care, assistance getting in or out of bed whether it be through manually lifting them or using a hoyer life, bathing, dressing, etc.). From everyone that I have worked with, I have learned from and I take those lessons with me and keep them in mind with everyone I work with. Everyone is different and has their own way of doing things, and once I pick up on a person's routine, I am pretty much good from there in helping them through their day. I love helping people which in the reason why I am in this kind of work. I have my own vehicle, and live in Somerville.
