My name is Anne Taylor and I recently graduated from the University of Oregon with a Master's degree in art history.  During my time there, my mother suffered from serious health problems, including kidney failure and a stroke.  I moved in with her for several months and managed her hygiene, medications, exercise, eating, doctor's appointments, trips to dialysis, speech therapy, and social engagements.  While I am not a professional, I have a sincere interest in improving the quality of life for seniors.  While in graduate school, I was awarded an internship at our campus fine arts museum in the Education and Outreach department.  As an intern, I visited several nursing home facilities and coordinated art activities with the residents.  In addition, I conducted weekly art activities for young adults in the community with disabilities.  My goal is to pursue a career in expressive arts therapy, so I hope to bring my skills and experience to an adult or senior care position.
