I grew up in Stoneham Massachusetts with my parents and my two older siblings. From a young age I developed the characteristics necessary for an elder care giver. Some of these qualities include compassion, optimistic, energetic and most of all loving.I developed these qualities while caring for my nana who unfortunately had dementia. My nana, who played an very significant role in my life was incapable of caring for herself. With that being very apparent I took on the role as "Nana's little helper." I would clean my Nana's room, laundry, clothe, and most importantly cook for her.
