I am 28 years old and have my Bachelor's Degree in Gerontology fro University of Massachusetts Lowell. I have worked in settings with the elderly for a good part of my adult life, an am very passionate about caring for their needs. I am trained in fire safety, basic safety for elders, and AARP certified. I have worked at an independent living facility in Lexington that is geared for senior citizens. In the last 2 1/2 years I worked in 4 of the departments at Brookhaven at Lexington, including Community Living, Community Outreach, Nursing Center Activities, and supervised in the Food Service department well, all looking after vey different needs of 325 residents at one time or another. I have a great deal of respect for my elders, and believe that they need & deserve the utmost care possible, especially in their later years and become more dependent on others.
