I am very much interested in the position you posted today on Sittercity. I am a mature woman with the passion and compassion befitting a caregiver. My training came from my life experiences; and my natural tendency as a care giver is innate. I was a companion for 2 and 1/2 years to a 90 + year old gentleman with dimentia, who lived with his daughter, son-in-law and their children, and I loved caring for him. We became good friends. I took him food shopping, to his Dr.'s appointments, Physical Therapy appointments, Haircuts, and various other outings. He has since passed away. I have always been a caring person and been a help, support and a hands-on friend and neighbor. I took care of my mother during her declining years, and many of my neighbors as well. We moved our family from our home to my mother's home to be able to take care of her. For the past 1 and 1/2 years, I took time off to help take care of our two grandchildren. The job fits me perfectly. My references are excellent.
