William’s Bio
I'm a 29 year old student at Worcester State University. I will graduate in 2016 with a Master of Occupational Therapy degree. My undergraduate degree is in psychology with a minor in gerontology. My educational background has prepared me to be an excellent care companion.
For the past four years I have worked at a group home for adults with traumatic brain injuries (ie strokes and motor vehicle accidents). I've worked directly with the residents and have experience with developing, maintaing and aiding individuals with a wide range of daily activities like self care, home making, community integration and leisure pursuits.
I have experience handling and giving medications. I am MAP certified to do so.
I'm certified by the Red Cross in adult CPR/AED response .
I have a working knowledge of the many systems of the human body and how disability and disease may effect them. I also have knowledge and experience pertaining to how to make life more enjoyable for people that may be experience these diseases and disabilities.
