I cared for my own mother-semi-paralyzed from an aneurism and stroke for 3 years. I was employeed by a company called: Sunshine Services as  senior companion. My many assignments included work with Alzheimer's victims living in assisted-living and seniors who lived in their own homes.
I worked as a direct-care worker for the ACR/NCR for a total of 7 years. In that position, I held up-to-date medication administration certification through the MD board of Nursing as well as CPR, First Aid and Bloodbourne Pathogens. I worked with individuals with many types of ailments that include: mental retardation combined with: blindness, deafness, GERD, respiratory illness, diabetes, gout, ambulatory disabilities, age-related disabilities, cerebal palsey, and mental illness.
