Hello,
I have been working as a companion and caregiver for many years and have worked with both children and adults from age 4 to 106. I have worn the following hats: Educational Technician, CNA both homecare and facilities, CRMA, Behavioral Health Technician, Mental Health Crisis Worker and hospice care.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Mental Health and Human Services, MHRT/C and MHRT/CSP certifications (allow me to practice mental health crisis and stabilization services anywhere in the community).
I chose to work in the social service field because I have two aunts who did and they advised me to do likewise, they gained satisfaction with their work.
I feel I am good at caregiving and companionship because of my experiences working with people of all types and learning how to be helpful when working with people as well as accepting and empathic.
I love being a caregiver because at the end of the day, I know I have shared positive energy with my client(s) and helped their day to be a better one.
