I have over 20 years of experience working as a private duty caregiver for elderly and disabled clients. I have extensive experience with all aspects of in-home care and long-term maintenance of a household. I have worked for many years with Alzheimers as well as other forms of dementia and mental illnesses and pride myself on my ability to be solve the day to day problems an inability to communicate or think normally can have on a person.
I also pride myself on catering to the personality of a client. With one family I was with for ten years I was very businesslike and professional and yet with another family I was with for the same length of time, I was very sardonic and humorous and much more buddylike.
