I cared for my mother before she passed away then took over the care for my autistic brother and that’s how I started my journey to being a HHA/DCW.My Responsibilities as a DCW were to give Primary care, document all resident’s behaviors, give case workers and Guardians patients info, Take residents on outings, appointments and Pass Meds and Meal Prep. We also were dealing with Mental and non-functioning residents so we did wound cleaning, rooming and daily care. I’m CPR Certified have 17 years experienced in healthcare field,Knowledge of working with Patients with mental disabilities Provides Comfort and safety to patients Hospice Care.I love working with the elderly because it’s not a job for me it’s more like a hobby because it comes natural and I’ve been doing it so long I feel this position would fit me perfectly.We and our kids are the future it’s only right we take care of our elders.
