I have 5 1/2 years experience working with adults with special needs. This includes adults with mental illness, developmental disabilities, and/or brain injuries. I participated in and completed a training for a certified peer support specialist in 2008.
I have some experience being responsible for taking care of infants and children as well, including special needs children.
I have experience teaching art classes to disabled children. As well, I have provided care for a special needs infant in the past.
I have also completed certification training in CPR and First Aid. Those certifications have since expired, however, I believe I have retained the information I learned.
