As a child I've always admired people. I love being with people, helping people and most importantly putting smiles on faces, making a difference in lives. People make a difference in my life everyday. I learn something new everyday. There could be something in someone's life from their past they'd like to talk about. But, it's new and rewarding for me. It benefits the both of us and most importantly the person or people I'm caring for. Because, they know that they're special. I feel special because the resident is comfortable enough to tell me these stories. I take comfort in that because God knows that I'm doing a job well done which makes the resident(s) and family members happy. They know that they can go to work, play, vacation or whatever relaxes them at the end of the day, because their day is aside from other things, stress free.
