I have quite a bit of experience being a caregiver, in several fields; including senior, special needs, and child care. I have about three years of experience working with elderly citizens and I really enjoy spending time with them. Over the last couple years I also gained a lot of experience taking care of special needs individuals. For about a year and a half, I took care of a man who is blind and autistic. When it comes to senior citizens, I have done quite a bit of volunteer work and care giving. About two years ago my grandmother had a stroke and had to undergo emergency brain surgery, which put her in a coma for several weeks. When she returned home, I became her primary care giver. I learned to assist with personal hygiene and medication administration, including using a feeding/stomach tube and giving shots for diabetes. I also assisted with her therapy. I will also assist with cleaning, errands, laundry, and anything else you may want help with. I am certified in CPR, first aid, recipients' rights, and blood borne pathogens.
