Karen’s Bio
I was a Life Skills Technician with Neuro Restorative and worked with traumatic brain injured adults for three years. I hold a BS degree in Special Education for Emotionally Impaired Children and have worked with special needs children and young adults for a majority of my working career. My husband died when my four children were 14, 11, 7 and 7 and I raised them by myself. My children are happy, healthy, successful, and loving adults- I am one proud mama/Nonna! I have been hearing impaired (I wear two hearing aids) all my life. My hearing impairment, experience, training, education, and understanding of loss has given me all the tools I need to empower others.
