4+ years direct care for people with developmental disabilities including Down syndrome, CP, and Autism. First aid/CPR/SCIP-R certified. Bachelors degree Fromm CUNY Hunter College in psychology with a concentration in abnormal behavior and childhood development.
Currently serving as a MSC and respite worker. 4+ years as a direct support professional through various agencies on Long Island. Familiar with OPWDD/HCBS regulations.
Already certified through two self-direction agencies and one community habilitation agency. Will apply through other agencies if necessary, or available for private pay.
Clean and valid NYS license, own transportation. Availabile after school, nights, and some weekends. Able to assist with errands, community activities, light cooking/cleaning. Enjoys arts and crafts, going to the gym, and visiting parks and libraries.
