With having had experience working with children, adolescents, and adults over the past twenty years, I have found these experiences both challenging and rewarding. Finding ways to make learning interesting, engaging, and fun has provided me with the opportunity and experience to influence the future of our next generations. I have had the experience working with various populations, and with individuals on special diets and with unique learning styles. Working with children with autism and other disabilities such as Sensory Processing issues, and have been an ABA therapist aid for many years. I have over ten years working with all types of personalities, ages and skill levels in a professional and educational capacity. I can communicate with nonverbal children with minimal sign language and access to programs and apps on ipads etc. I enjoy teaching typical children as well and enjoy inclusion classrooms if needed. Children modeling positive and appropriate behavior towards one another and the teacher provides a classroom that I would adhere to. I’ve working with many coworkers and parents of the students and have enjoyed relationships I’ve made over the years. I can work independently and with other staff with no problem. Comfortable and confident, I believe that the skills I have developed will make me a better teacher as I continue to move forward. I received my Bachelors of Science Degree in December 2016 and my major is in Psychology witha minor Marriage and Family Studies. My second minor is in English but I plan to attend graduate school in the next year while maintaining employment. I have over 6 yearsexperience as a homeless services case manager and managed a case loaf of over 25 clients.
