I have worked in healthcare for over 10 years and I know the importance of caregiver burnout. I think it’s important to provide a service to families where extra time and attention is needed for a loved one who may need some extra assistance.
I have been a rehab tech in a hospital at all skill levels, I have been a licensed occupational therapy assistant for over 6 years now. I am currently a Rehab Director in an Assisted Living Facility and I am looking for something to do outside of work that may help others in some way.
I have experience in day-long, personal caregiving which included shower, grooming, dressing, toileting, changing ostomy bags, preparing meals, light housekeeping, general exercise to encourage and maintain overall strength. I also love providing daily activities to promote independence and give purpose to someone’s life such as gardening, cooking, crafting, puzzles, games, etc.
