Providing care for our elderly has been in my family for three generations. My grandmother was a Medical Technician at a retirement facility for nine years, my mother was a Certified Nursing Assistant for twenty-one years, I provided in-home care for an elderly women in my community while her husband continued with his logging business for eight months till hospice was required and I was a Dietary Aide at the same retirement facility my grandmother and mother worked for a year. I grew up with my disabled uncle whom of which lived with us, he recently passed, and throughout my childhood I assisted him with his needs. I worked as a Behavioral Support Technician at The Arc of the Ozarks for six months and The Cambridge which is a retirement facility for eight months as a Prep Cook. I'm twenty-three years old but very old fashioned since I grew up in the country. I tend to get along with my elders better than those my own age. I'm a big empathizer and always put myself in other's shoes because I believe that the best and only way to understand each others pain and confusion. I am CPR certified, Med Tech Certified, knowledgeable of de-escalation techniques, lifting techniques, knowledgeable of adverse and allergic reactions, and knowledgeable of vitals readings. I love books and am more than happy to read any book they want. I love old shows so you cant bore me easily. I love card games, board games, arts and crafts, classical music, and learning new things. I'm an old soul that understands life isn't about ourselves but about how we make others feel because we all need a friend or just someone to keep us company. Life can be scary so we all need someone to help us forget our fears. I may be young but I've experienced loss in my life at a young age. My mother passed from a blood clot in our home in 2011 (she was 39 years old) and my uncle passed in the same home November 27th, 2016 (he was 42) and since my mom passed I've been on my own which has been very rough but it taught me a lot about how sacred life is so we better make every second count. I believe I was put here to understand and comfort those in need and that's why I was dealt such a hard hand in life so I could help others in their times of need.
