I have 25+ years experience in careing for loved ones and allowing them to stay in their own home. It is very important to hold on to dignity, self respect and continue doing as much as possible for yourself. It is my job to make sure they continue believing in theirself!! I have worked as a Home Health Aide where I went house to house giving baths but I prefer more one on one time to developed a more personal relationship. I have worked with hospice as a caregiver and that's when I knew what I was meant to do. My previous job I was there 19 months as head caregiver. I stayed with her till the end. I am experienced in dementia/ alzehimers. Having a grandmother with alzehimers, this is a disease that is close to home. I believe that patience, understanding and a loving heart is the most important qualities when face to face with this disease. I have references upon request. I am a devoted person, I give my patient and their family the love and respect that I want given to my own. Experienced in bathing, dressing, medications, meals, exercise, wound care, bed pans, potty chairs, diapers, house work. Sometimes someone needs a friend who understands what they can't put into words and I do all I can to be that person.
