Hi I first became a care companion with my aunt who is bedridden and cannot do anything but eat for herself ...she has been bedridden for 10 years now...
My grandmother was over 80 years old and had Alzheimer's and I cared for her by sitting with her and keeping her company to fixing her breakfast and bringing her lunch. I had to make sure she took her medicine even when she didn't want too.
I now work for a group home who house mental patients and I have to cook them breakfast every morning and make sure they take their medicine....as well as provide them safety .
