I am a married dad of three, two with special needs. I love to help people and feel that my children were given to me to help me understand the importance of the little things. I understand the stress of being a special needs parent, as well as making sure you get the necessary time away to keep yourself healthy and strong for your kids. Making a difference in someone else's life, and making connections with people are a few things that are very important to me. Although I have no "formal" training, on a daily basis my kids need assistance with most ADL's such as bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, communication (both are nonverbal and use assistive technology), transferring, cooking, cleaning, chores and need constant supervision as they have limited understanding of safety. They also receive medications several times a day, and my oldest utilizes a feeding tube.
