Kristina’s Bio
I worked for Home Instead Senior Care for three years (Missoula, MT; 2013-2016), as a senior companion, doing errands, and light housekeeping. While with Home Instead, I received training in care of clients with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia. I also worked with a disabled person for several years. My parents and parents-in-law are in their 80s, and I enjoy spending time with them.
I also enjoy working with children, and was a school teacher for more than 10 years. I have two grown children, both in college.
It is gratifying to discover what people enjoy doing, and share that activity with them. Some people with dementia and memory loss enjoy games, so I join them in card games like four corners and go fish. For those who enjoy walks, we take them. It is always pleasant to reminisce with seniors, perhaps while looking at photos.
