Jacob’s Bio
Hello, my name is Jake. I enjoy reading, long hikes in the wilderness, exercising, cooking, bowling, puzzles, and photography. I have attended three years of college and have an Associate’s Degree. I obtained my Associate’s with a 4.0 GPA at Spokane Falls Community College and received their President’s Scholar Medal for outstanding achievement. After graduating from SFCC I was offered a $20,000/year scholarship to Whitworth University. I attended Whitworth for one year and studied in their pre-medical school program as I was studying to become an osteopathic doctor. I have lived all over the Pacific Northwest and Alaska. I learned a lot of valuable skills in Alaska, like how to live in extreme weather conditions. I currently live in Montana, but am willing to relocate for the job. You can often find me taking strolls around a nice lake, biking on bike trails, cooking up a homemade meal, or checking out an interesting museum.
I have experience caring for my father, who is quadriplegic due to a car accident while my mother was pregnant with me. I also have experience caring for my five year old nephew. My entire life I have cared for my father. When his employed caregivers are not around, I take on their responsibilities when I am visiting him. This involves cooking, cleaning, yard work, changing clothes, giving medications, getting mail and groceries, and transporting him where he needs to go. I can remember helping him out with daily activities as a young kid and through the years into my adulthood. My nephew was born five years ago and I have played a big part in caring for him, especially recently. When he was a young baby I would watch him and look after him when I was with him and provide care for him. Now that I live closer to him I sometimes babysit him 5 or 6 days a week and he stays over at my place some nights. I regularly play with him and take him on bike rides, walks, swimming, and trips to the park.
