Hello! Let me tell you a little bit about myself: I am a 27 year old professional living in south Charlotte.

I attended art school for most of my life (starting with arts boarding school) and am now working towards getting my MA in Art Therapy.

I am very into volunteering. In fact, my first volunteer job was an assistant art teacher for the disabled elderly. I connected with the students and formed very special, meaningful relationships that I will always carry with me. I grew especially close to a woman with advanced dementia, who I grew to love. This experience is really what piqued my interest in working with those who need extra care.

I currently spend 3 morning/early afternoons a week at Urban Ministry's Artworks 945 program for Charlotte's homeless. I am also involved in monthly events for mentally ill adults, and am about to begin flexible hours volunteering for immigrant children in need. That being said, I can always shift my schedule according to your needs.

I cannot describe how much I enjoying spending time with my sister's 11 month old son (my adorable nephew!), but if you've watched children grow up, I assume you know that joy and pride! He is the light of my life (don't tell my husband!).

I have been described as creative, fun, outgoing, and responsible. I connect with people very easily and naturally. These qualities have always made volunteer work and working with people of all ages great success! I am open-minded about whatever kind of help or work is necessary. Whether someone needs a little bit of help, needs further - significant care, I am qualified and happy to make them comfortable and happy. Few things are more heartwarming than being able to make someone smile and laugh, or just seeing them having a great time.
