I am a 66 year old retired PCA. I have worked in this field for approxiamately 12 years. This was a second profession for me after working 20 years in the clerical field and retired. I took this second profession after taking care care of my sick father until he passed away. It was hard on me being the only child he had and plus i had a job and my own family. I know how important it is to have someone to help you out to kind of take the burden off family members. after having my experience with my father, I later went to Sampson Community College in Clinton and took up nursing assistance 11. I have worked up until 2010 as an In Home Aide. My Job duties were fixing light meals, bathing, helping my clients to dress and personal care. washhing cloths, changing linen. dusty, light housekeeping. and just being there for them to talk to them and keep them company. I am now retired and i have done private duties when i am called. These people need a lot of care and love and i enjoy giving it to them. I try my best to make their last days as comfortable as possible.
