Hi Heidi
My name is Shannon and I am a 48 year old mother to two children. I have a son who is 11 and a daughter that is 8. I have been a stay at home mom working as a caregiver to a three year old and a one year old in the past.
I saw your post and thought that this is something that I have been looking for. I would love to spend time with your mother, run errands with her and do many things around the house for both of your parents. I don’t mind animals and would be willing to walk the dog as needed too.
I have helped out in the past with a gentleman that had ALS. I would help out in his office by typing correspondences fir him while he dictated. I would often help him with his breathing machine as well.
Although I do not have a long list of experience working with the elderly. The times that I have I have really enjoyed. I would love the opportunity to meet your parents to see if we would be a great fit for each other. I know it’s not easy raving your loved ones in someone else care but I do feel a calling to this type of work as it would be rewarding for me to help someone or just be there for whatever they may need.
