I am very new to NC from NY. I am 53, responsible, on time, and have utmost respect for the elderly. ( I am going to be there one day )
I assisted in the care of both my parents. My mom was 87 with brittle bones, my dad was 87 with emphysema. My in laws lived with us and I took care of them. My mother in law had bone cancer, my father in law emphysema and more.
I also assisted in caring for my aunt with Alzheimers.
I am not a nurse or do I have any such credentials. I do love to help the elderly with their chores, possibly play scrabble, sit and chat, look at pictures and listen to the story of their life.
I consider myself a very patient person.
