Provide residents with nursing services in accordance with physician's orders
in medication administration and treatments.
Provide direct care to residents following an individual service plan.
Maintaining the physical, social and psychological environment that is
conducive to the best interest and welfare of the residents.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician. This
includes: eye drops, patches, insulin injections, morphine administration,
nebulizer treatments and daily medication administration and counting
controlled substances with oncoming med tech.
Monitor response to medications and existing treatments for medication
interactions and side effects.
Maintain resident charts/records in accordance with state and company
policies and procedures. This includes: medication distribution, incidents and
observations; charting any changes in medications and behaviors.
Schedule all doctor appointments, including PT and OT.
Work directly with Albemarle Home Care/Hospice and Community Hospice to
provide best plan of care to hospice residents.
Supervisor of assisted living (45 residents) and Clare Bridge (Memory Care
Unit-20 residents) and all CNA's and resident aides on duty.
Wound care for stage 1 and stage 2 wounds. Provide first-aid/CPR when needed
Check monthly MARS for accuracy for each resident and making necessary
corrections as needed.
Checking in and putting away batch medications each month for the residents.
Blood Glucose testing, vital signs to include B P, P, R, T and insulin injections
daily.
Monthly skin assessments and vitals
UTI and Respiratory infection tracking( documenting resident, diagnosis and
treatment.
Maintained 3 medication carts, checking for out of dates, rotating stock and
placing orders when needed
Collection and delivery of urine specimens to local hospital for testing.
