I have been working in the field of helping/serving others for over 25 years, including people in prison, those with mental illness, with intellectual disabilities and developmental disabilities. I love working with people and I do not take anything for granted as I look at every day as a gift.
I have a unique optimism and passion towards life and love to see others smile. Often it is the small things that can mean so much to the right person.
I am currently a Special Education Teacher and love my job and working with high school students. Within my realm of being a teacher I have had the opportunity to teach life skills, daily living skills, self-care, social skills and vocational skills.
I have been certified in both CPR/First Aid, but it is currently expired.
