I was a nursing student for three years at Central Piedmont Community College, in Charlotte, NC and had four months of clinical experience caring for the elderly in a nursing home.
My job included: feeding, grooming, bed baths, toileting needs, bed changes, diaper changes, enemas, and medication administration.
I have my BS degree in English with minors in Science and Art from Vanderbilt Peabody College.
I'm very interested in health and published a small newspaper called the Whole Health News for 11-years. I studied journalism at Georgia State University and received The Ralph Emerson McGill Award for Excellence in Newspaper Journalism.
I love to listen to people's life stories, and I’m very compassionate.
Volunteered for the Red Cross for 8 years teaching swimming and water safety to children and adults. Worked as a lifeguard and swimming pool manager for 8 years.
