I am a 41 year old single female that has been working in the health care field for 20 years. I started out working with people who are mentally challenged and then volunteered for hospice as well as working as a CNA on a medical surgical floor. I have a bachelors degree in Respiratory therapy and a masters degree in physician assistant studies. I have a minor in gerontology as I enjoy working with the elderly. I was very close with my grandfather and have loved working and being around the elderly community ever since. I was even able to live in an elderly apartment complex for a year! I am CPR certified as well.
I enjoy hearing their stories and would love to make a positive difference in their lives. I would always treat the person as I would like to be treated. I feel that when people are retired and are older, they deserve the upmost respect. I was always taught to treat the patient as if they were one of your own family members.
