I am currently working with a couple who both have early onset Dementia.
This is a part time position.
I was employed as a live in Companion / Caregiver for a gentleman in Essex, Connecticut for 7 years, 2007 -2014.
I have been a caregiver for 25 plus years, including childcare.
I am Safe Environment Certified to teach Catechism in the Catholic Church which I have been doing for the past 20 years.
I have 10 plus years experience as a Lifestyle Assistant in private homes and aboard private yachts in a variety of positions including Senior Care,Child Care, Personal Chef, Household Manager, Property Manager .I am 63 years young! I am a high energy gal in excellent health! I currently walk 5 miles daily, and hike and bike when not working. I have 15 years of Live In experience as life style assistant , senior care giver in Connecticut and Florida. I am free to travel with the client. Assistance with daily activities , social planning and engagements, assistance with communication and letter writing , computer proficient, assistance with medication distribution, preparation of specialized medically mandated diets, toileting , bathing and dressing, feeding, laundry, transportation, health and well being services, Dementia and Alzheimer experience ; Hospice experience. I encourage and engage in any and all physical activities suited to the desires of the client like walking , swimming, pool aerobics, chair yoga. I have have gift of gab and love to play board games, cards, scrabble, rummy cube (great for mental acuity), I am an avid reader and have belonged to local book clubs for the last 40 years.
I have excellent references. I am CPR certified. I have a Culinary Degree.
