I've always been one that has been caring. From younger siblings to the love I have of caring for pets.
A few years ago at church I decided to join a mission trip to Hatii. It was truly a life changing expierence and had a big play in deciding the feild I'd pursue. I had such a great time in Haiti, I packed up for a second trip.
After working a few smaller jobs such as babysitting gigs and at a local pharmacy I realized that's not where I should be. I then decided to go to school for my LNA. I got a job at a local nursing home and stayed for almost 3 years.
I decided I needed a change of pace but still felt the desire to help others. I came across an ad and decided to apply to be a direct support staff. There I worked with indivuals with various disabilities and personalities. This job was even more rewarding because you are working one on one. You can see the impact you've had and be a part of someone's plan to better themselves. I ended up leaving this job prior the birth of my son.
I now plan to start nursing school.
