I have experience in providing care for the elderly through caring for my aging grandmother who has been diagnosed with Dementia, diabetes, hypertension, anemia, and a myriad of other physical and mental debilitating disorders throughout the last years. While I do my best to remain emotionally stable while assisting her with all her needs as much as possible, I believe I am a strong-minded, independent critical thinker who can also follow orders and be an intricate part of an interdisciplinary team when needed. When it comes to bedside care, I believe my empathy and accuracy with medication dosage, frequency of ambulation, comfort, and hygiene care are main priorities that would be assuredly addressed every shift. Other care giving related skills provided include light housekeeping and meal prep, along with proper companionship to stimulate the mind and keep a healthy mental and verbal line of communication. In the interim of receiving my licensure to provide medical intervention to those in need, I am seeking to elevate spirits and be a blessing through companionship or basic care giving needs, however I may best suit the family I am here to serve. I am also BLS CPR certified.
