I am a 54 year old woman who has years of experience in providing care to hemiplegic and quadriplegic people. Previous jobs have allowed me to provide comfort for the person in numerous ways. I have experience with the electric Hoyer lift and transferring. I have changed briefs (diapers) and I am familiar with the Texas catheter. My duties have included cooking and help with feeding, if necessary. Food shopping, light cleaning, laundry, medicine administration, if called for. Companionship. Blood pressure, temperature, pulse, O2-taking and recording. Bathing in bed and shower. Grooming. Working with visiting nurses and therapists. Maneuvering the person in hospital bed. Wheelchair use. I am the extra pair of hands and eyes whether or not family member is present the same time I am. English speaking only, reliable transportation. I am not a certified aide, nor certified in CPR, but willing to learn CPR. I am detail oriented and reliable. Previous patient reference available upon request.
