Yvonne H. Care Companion in Manahawkin, NJ 08050

I am a 34 year old single woman. I live in Manahawkin currently. I have done caregiving in the past, from Nov. 2014 to Dec. 2016. In the beginning it was me and another gentleman who lives with a couple and 87 year old man and an 84 year old woman I basically was responsible for taking care of the woman although I assisted with taking care of the older man as well due to his Alzheimer's and Dementia and inability to walk. When he did pass away a year later I continued to stay and take care of the 84 year old woman she was like a second grandmother to me. Their responsibilities included helping her shower, asst. her when getting dressed, making all her meals, taking her to all doctors appointments, and maintaining the household cleanup, and I did all the household shopping. When she was able to she would come with me everywhere of course we went on outings did bingo things that put a smile on her face put a smile on my face I enjoyed helping and every way I could. I loved my job. Unfortunately as she got older her body started to break down and she needed to be in a full-time medical facility which I continued to visit her for a while afterwards. It broke my heart when she finally passed away but the memories will always be there
