I have extensive experience working with mental health, homeless Veterans, intellectual disability, juvenile delinquents and older populations. As a Social Worker my goal is to improve the lives of individuals in need of help and support. I have been doing Private Duty, Case Management and Mental Health Care for 17 years. My father was diagnose with Alzheimer's and took care of him until he expired. I worked at several hospitals dealing with consumers in HIV, Brain Injury and older population. Every consumer should be treated with care and respect and have a passion working with the elderly. I have a Bachelors degree in Social Work. I decided I wanted to be a social worker when I attended Harcum College and then follow my career at Alvernia University. The Social Work mission impacted my life by offering me the tools to work with communities and individuals. I valve compassion, caring understanding and empathy for all people. I want to direct my personal energy, time and resources by supporting families and consumers when they need comfort and support. I believe, and have made a different in small, yet significant was in the quality of people's lives.
