I'm very organized,hardworking and open minded person with many years taking care of children and elderly. I have experience working with both special and regular children and adults. At my previous job, I worked there for three years in a private home where I assisted in caring for the elderly woman with alzheimer.
My duties included assist resident with meals, assisting with bath, dressing and grooming; helping her to the restroom, preserve patient dignity and minimize discomfort while carrying out duties such, laundry, take her out for lunch/movies, and take her clothes shopping.
I helped to keep the home clean and free of trash and other debris to ensure a safe environment for patient. I also kept inventory house supplies and stocked the restrooms. I engaged in small talks and play card games with the patient to help create a friendly and relaxed atmosphere to help make her stay a little better.
In addition to my experience working with children and elderly care, i also attended school for Medical assistant and in the process of getting certified . I am comfortable reading vital signs, Venipuncture /Injections, EKG, and working on Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
