Moved to Fallon in 1993 from California . I attended WNCC what is now simply Western Nevada College. I received my CNA licence instructed by Elda Burke. Began my first CNA position working at The Fallon Convalescent Center I worked mostly in the Alzheimer wing 1993-1995 . For a brief time I also cared for Nadine late wife to Former Mayor of Fallon Merton Dominoske 1994. In 1994 I received my EMT I under the instruction of Joe Esposito finishing in 1995 with my EMT II license under John Foster. Both instructors at WNCC and and lead Paramedics for the original Churchill County hospital. In 1995 is shifted into work as a live in Caregiver. I cared for an Elder man Ray Nygren who was wheel chair bound. I providing assisted care in addition to domestic upkeep and cooking. I was hired by Daughter Lynn and Son Scott Nygren. My next job led to care for a lovely lady, Lucille Costner, hired on originally as a relief person by Daughter Roscille Colburn. I later transitioned to full time. I performed many tasks. I was caregiver, cook,housekeeper,driver and even hair stylist. I also helped with grounds maintenance and helped with summer vegetable crops for Roscille. I stayed with her until she passed on later in 1997. I choose to return to school and worked For the College library as an assistant via work study program until 1999. I married my husband and started my family. Between 2003 and 2005 I worked as a demonstrator in Walmart on weekends for Classic Demos Fallon branch under supervisor Louise Johnson, the job ended when she retired. In 2007 to present I remain a caregiver to Jane Graf helping her with transportation and simple tasks as needed. 2010 to present I also provide transportation to school for a child.
