I recently moved to Las Vegas from MN where I am a Licensed Drug Addiction Counselor with a masters degree in Mental Health as well. I have a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and I have been a certified nurses assistant (CNA) for over 10 years. Duties of a CNA: Helping clients transfer in and out of bed or to the bathroom, repositioning, helping with toileting, dressing, shower or bathing. I cook for my clients and help them eat if they need that from me, I also pick up the house and do other related everyday living tasks for my clients if they require it. I have worked as a Nanny in Denver Colorado and North Dakota. I have worked as an in home health care companion or CNA in Denver and in North Dakota. I worked at Altru Health Care Hospital on the Surgery floor for two years as a CNA as well. I have also done housekeeping in hotels and for clients who are unable to perform the duties themselves. I was a security officer in the casino in North Dakota where I trained to be a first responder and can react calmly and rationally in an emergency situation. I can provide documentation to all of this however I want to point out I am not certified in the state of NV. I have a job that I work here but I am just in need of a little extra work on the side at this point while I am waiting for oral boards to become a drug counselor in the state of NV. I am very good at what I do I enjoy finding ways to help clients stay relevant as far as doing what they can do for themselves, I am am a counselor and can help with acclimation and transitional issues for both clients and families.
