Hi there,
I'm Erica Dyan Chadha and I'm 29 years old. I have a lot of experience working with children of all age groups and disabilities. I am fun, creative and responsible when it comes to working with children. I am currently living in and working with a family who has a two years old Autistic child. I take pride in my work and in what I am set out to accomplish. I love children and helping them develop their skills by teaching and caring for them is my calling and is what I am set out to do. I am trained in Article 9 from Arizona, which entitles me to be an educator for disabled children. I have a level one fingerprint clearance card (which implies that I already have a background check) from the state of Arizona Department of Public safety which expires in 2023. I am also trained in CPR and First Aid. I am always looking to learn new and better ways to help as much as I possibly can. If there's another class I need to take to become certified even further I'd be happy to take one.
I have a Bachelors degree in Psychology and in Sociology from a reputed university in India. I have managed a preschool called "The Big Apple" which consisted of 100 children all under the age of 4. I have worked with an NGO called "Project Sunshine" for underprivileged children in India in helping them have an amazing, fun filled childhood. I've also organised events for an all girls orphanage called "Bal Sadan". All these organisations had a combination of children from different backgrounds and societies. Working with them all together in one group has helped me understand what is required of me when dealing with children. Children , be it disabled, underprivileged or just in need of care require mostly two things; patience and understanding.
