I lost my patient to P.S.P. (Progressive Supernuclear Palsy). I've grown attached to her as if she were my grandmother. I will miss her dearly.
I began this type of job all because of my grandmother who had influenced my life in so many ways. To love and care for someone, and by doing so it puts a smile on their face makes me happy. My grandmother have always told me, "Whatever it is that you do, do it well with all of your heart and to the best of your ability." And these are words that I live by daily. She has been in several urgent/emergent situations with my Dad and handle them like a pro. My father has benefited greatly from her care and attention and I have benefited greatly being able to rest easier knowing that if there is a problem Melissa will handle it calmly and promptly.
