Hi there. My name is Michelle and I have many years of experience taking care of the elderly ranging from basic needs all the way different clients recovering from a stroke, recovering from surgery, dementia and Alzheimer's, ALS, and plain old aging. Please know that I realize that this is a job, career if you will, but sometimes I feel guilty because it doesn't seem like work to me having to be compassionate, to be a 'really" good listener, to be attentive and friendly amongst others. I spent a weekend with my Grandma about six months ago. During my stay Michelle would cover the evening, night, and morning care. I observed her management of my Grandma. She showed high competence in managing my Grandma safely with transfers, bed mobility, ADLs, and ambulation. She also offered meaningful companionship to my Grandma. My Grandma had other caregivers in addition to Michelle. She often expressed that she was most fond of Michelle. Michelle is a very good listener and more importantly, she truly is a natural "caregiver". She is vested in the well-being of the people she assists.
I highly recommend consideration of Michelle Main for a caregiver job. Her skill set includes and is not
limited to:
1) meal prep/Housekeeping
2) personal care- bathing, dressing, toileting
3) assist with all functional mobility
4) assist with ambulation
