I first began my experience working with children in 2016 when I started working at Chuck E. Cheese. I dealt with screaming babies, toddlers, teens, and parents. From sweeping carpet to scrubbing toilets, my patience and tolerance grew abundantly. After working at CEC, I began working at H&M and this is where I mastered the skill of patience. Working in retail for over a year was the best job experience I could have asked for. I’ve dealt with customers offering $100 tips just for ringing them out to customers trying to fight me because we were out of a certain size. Now I currently work for Crystal Run Village, working with individuals with developmental disabilities. This job has not only taught me so much but it broadened my overall view of life. I recently just found out I will be a mother and there’s so many thoughts and emotions going through my mind. Although I do have plenty of experience with children of all ages, races, etc., I do want that personal one on one experience just so I can prepare for my own. Not to mention, I am the oldest child, with a 14 year old brother and 5 year old sister. I plan to care for another child, as if they are my sibling or even my own.
