My name is Nancy and I have been in the field of Care giving for several years. I have found that in working with the elderly and or disabled, some may experience difficulty adjusting to loss of ability to perform daily activities, friends and their independence. I love conversing with them and providing emotional and social support and encouraging independence. I treat people with kindness, respect, empathy and dignity encouraging independence within their unique limitations. I can take your Mom or Dad shopping or shop for them, and take them to Doctor Appointments. I have chosen this field because of my feelings of care, concern, compassion, warmth and general positive attitude.
Currently I work for a woman who is bedridden, has diabetes and other issues where I attend to her personal needs, help clean, shop, bathe, cook and take care of her pets.
I do live in Port Jefferson Station which is in Suffolk County, so please be somewhat within a reasonable distance...Thank you..
